On February 14, 2025 “Intrecci culturali” together with “Carta dannata” presented in Tempio Pausania (ss) the second edition of “I Thought It Was Love and Instead It Was Valentine’s Day” within the festival “the good and the bad”. Stories of all the loves in the world were told through music and words.
Talking about love, today, isn’t easy. Telling it, perhaps, is even harder. Yet, the creators of “I Thought It Was Love and Instead It Was Valentine’s Day“, the event in its second edition, promoted by the association Intrecci Culturali in collaboration with Carta Dannata gave it a try, with excellent results. The meeting was part of the Festival of the Good and the Bad, the series organized by the association Intrecci Culturali, now in its second edition.
A reading in which the written and performed word became a tool to explore the endless facets of love, a universal feeling everyone talks about, but few truly understand. The stories ranged from absolute love – more than ever complex in light of today’s geopolitical scene – to intimate, personal passions, often unresolved, sometimes heartbreaking.
The reading took place on February 14, 2025 at the Caffè Museum in Piiazza Gallura 27, Tempio Pausania. Here, Daniela Piras, Paolo Bellotti, Daniele Carbini, Mario Addis and Anna Maria Corda shared their personal vision of love, shaped through words and suggestions, under the aegis of its patron saint. A story by Giampaolo Cassitta about love in prison was also read. Enriching the evening, the musical performance by the excellent Marco Garrucciu.
The evening was hosted by Domenica Azzena, a true hostess. The next date is the third edition, in 2026. Because of love we keep dreaming and hoping.
