Building peace, rejecting war: Intrecci Culturali among the promoters of the Open City Council in Ittiri

The association Intrecci Culturali, in collaboration with the Municipality of Ittiri, promoted an Open City Council, actively involving several local associations. An important initiative, born from the shared desire to reflect and take a stand on the dramatic Israeli-Palestinian situation.

The Ittiri city council, formally convened and open to citizens, will focus on “Building peace, rejecting war”, and will be held on Monday 30 June at 6:00 pm at the Municipal Theatre of Ittiri. During the event, an agenda item will be put to a vote to be submitted to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and the Carta di S’Apru will be presented and signed, a symbolic and concrete document of commitment to peace and dialogue among peoples.

We are proud to be among the main promoters of this moment of public, open and participatory discussion, with the presence of national and local groups – including Emergency, Ponti non muri, Mondo X Sardegna,  and others – united in reaffirming the importance of international law, human rights and nonviolence.
