In Siligo, with the closing of the Ammajare Festival, we reflected on injustices and persecutions, ancient and modern — those that run through history and repeat themselves, changing names but not substance.
War, in all its forms, remains injustice par excellence: it strikes those with no fault, destroys the present and steals the future. In Gaza, as in too many other places in the world, the victims continue to be civilians, women, children.
From that intense meeting, “On our skin. Gaza and surroundings”, a dialogue was born, full of reflections, responsibility and sincere testimonies, culminating in the signing of the Carta di S’Aspru, a concrete sign of a collective commitment to peace that calls for continuity and action.
For this reason, the journey continues on Saturday 25 October 2025 at 10.30, at the Auditorium of the Social Center of Tergu, with the forum “Gaza and surroundings”, promoted as part of the Ammajare Off Festival and organized by the Michele Giua Association, with the collaboration of Intrecci Culturali and the patronage of the Municipality of Tergu.
Because today, even if a ceasefire has been reached, peace is still all to be built.
From Sardinia we want to keep saying that no war is just, and that peace is not a utopia — it is a daily, collective and necessary commitment.
Because peace is not declared: it is built, together.
