A new event for ammajare off. In Porto Torres the latest book by Cristiano Idini, “The Price to Pay”, Il maestrale edizioni, was presented. The book tells a story of our times that happened in Sassari and can very well stand for a province of the world. The events told could also have happened in Virginia, in Texas, in Colombia, in Hungary because it is a universal tale with powerful characters that leave their mark. Idini has a cinematic writing style, he knows how to “track” through the chapters, taking the reader into a kind of Dantean hell where everyone will face the "price to pay".
A sumptuous, intense book that shows us horror without telling it and forces us to question some passages of our existence between rational and irrational choices. “It’s like the film Deep Red”, said Giampaolo Cassitta during the presentation “we know who the killer is from the start but we can’t manage to see him. Only in the last chapter will we see, in the side mirror, the face of the guilty one. But, unlike Deep Red, in Idini’s book there are many guilty ones and very few innocents".
